Philip Schofield joins Simon Thomas to talk about his four decade career on our television screens. his broadcasting journey began on the other side of the world in New Zealand, after his family emigrated from Cornwall, but it was his time in the broom cupboard on Children's BBC where he really made his name. Since then, Philip Schofield has gone on to present some of the UK his biggest shows performed in the West End. And for the past 18 years, he's presented it these daytime show this morning. In the early part of 2020, Philip made a decision that would change his life. He announced on live television, that after much soul searching and struggles with huge guilt, he was gay. He talks to Simon about his new book, 'Life's what you make it'. He charts his childhood, his rise to fame, and the near forty years of life in front of the camera and on stage. More than that, it's an honest account of his struggles to accept his sexuality, and the huge impact that had on his family.
