Episode notes

“Debts Of Honour”, by Humphrey Chalmers, is subtitled “The Story Of A Shopkeeper’s Clever Trick”, which sums things up quite nicely! Even if it does encourage you to distrust correspondence from your local retailers… Iain, Lisa, Abbie and Barry are impressed by the characterisation on show in this work, first published in “The People’s Friend“ in 1913.
