When the podcast began, I (Lauren) was still healing, still questioning, still finding my way. I was bitter and resentful. A lot of that still remains true, but now I live without the bitterness and resentment and instead with all of the love in my heart.

I have an abundance of gratitude for my Dad for paving the way, and opening doors for me. I have gratitude to him for not stealing my limelight, but rather, shedding some light on what a happy queer adult life could be — shedding the light on who I could be by showing me who he is.

In the season three opener, I finally get to sit down with my Dad, Al, as we discuss our sexuality, our love for each other, and Al’s journey to living his most authentic life.
