90 Minutes Or Less Film Fest

Cloverfield with Al Horner

Listen on

Episode notes

Sam Clements is curating a fictional film festival. He'll accept almost anything, but the movie must not be longer than 90 minutes. This is the 90 Minutes Or Less Film Fest podcast.

In episode 58 Sam is joined by Al Horner, film & music journalist and host of the Script Apart Podcast.

Al has chosen Cloverfield (85 minutes). The found footage film from 2008 stars Michael Stahl-David and Lizzy Caplan and was directed by Matt Reeves, produced by J.J. Abrams, and written by Drew Goddard.

Sam and Al discuss the idea behind Script Apart, the ingenious 2008 marketing campaign for Cloverfield and how the film reinvigorated the monster movie.
