90 Minutes Or Less Film Fest

Halloween with Joe Cornish

Listen on

Episode notes

Sam Clements is curating a fictional film festival. He'll accept almost anything, but the movie must not be longer than 90 minutes. This is the 90 Minutes Or Less Film Fest podcast.

In episode 94 Sam is joined by returning pod-guest Joe Cornish, writer and director of Attack The Block, The Kid Who Would Be King and the new Netflix series Lockwood & Co.

Joe has chosen Halloween (90 mins). John Carpenter's classic horror movie from 1978 stars Donald Pleasance, and introduced the world to Jamie Lee Curtis and the iconic villain, Michael Myers.

Sam and Joe discuss bringing a ghost to life on screen, Dean Cundey's ground-breaking camera work in Halloween and the minimalist nature of the film.  Listen to Joe's earlier appearance on the podcast, discussing Evil Dead II
