Episode notes

It was yet again another missed opportunity to prove ourselves as being “improved on last season”, but with draws against bottom of the league Watford and newly-promoted Norwich, was it simply a case of a deflating weekend being masked by a false league position?

In this week’s show, we go over the drab draw at Vicarage Road, with seasoned-Cherry Neil Dawson joining Sam Davis to make sense of the goalless encounter, which, had it not been for Saints 9-0 home drubbing by Leciester the night before, would possibly have been last on Match of the Day!

We hear your thoughts after the game, and bring you some of the opinions that were also submitted during the day on Youtube too!

Also, next Saturday, we entertain Manchester United, so Sam and Neil look forward to that game and try to make sense of a match-up which will see two very unpredictable sides going head to head.

PLUS… how does the offer of free beer appeal to you? If yes, we have teamed with with Beer 52 to offer Back of the Net listeners (who are over of 18) a cheeky offer where you can enjoy 10 craft beers at no cost to you - all you need to do is cover the delivery of less than a fiver. £4.95 infact. There’s one link you need and it is http://www.beer52.com/afcb.

Please note, Beer52 don’t hold you to ransom - so you can leave ANY time, and as I said, the first round of beers is free - you just need to cover the fiver postage - and will also include a copy of the award-winning craft beer magazine Ferment which explains the months beer theme - plus, you’ll receive a cheeky snack too! I can exclusively tell you that first months theme you’ll get is… Korea! Decent.
