Amma Gyamfowa (pronouns: she/her) Amma Gyamfowa is a Ghanaian-Canadian womanist therapist, and social worker. Engaged in the field of social work for the last 8 years, her work has been rooted in supporting Black women, trans, and non-binary youth and survivors of gender-based violence. With a demonstrated history of meaningful engagement in community development, she has cultivated and advanced diverse programs and initiatives across the Greater Toronto Area. Amma is the Founder of Womanist Healing Counselling Services, prioritizing mental health counseling and therapeutic supports through a holistic, African diasporic lens to healing, mental wellness, and liberation.
