Episode notes

The men may have had a break from playing this weekend but that doesn't mean there was any less excitement for Charles, Danny and Chessie to look back on. Plus we announce our first Christmas fundraiser.

Christmas Fundraiser Announced

This year we’re raising money for Weston Favell Food Bank. The Trussell Trust supported food bank provides 3 days of nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. We don’t believe that anyone in our community should face going hungry and that’s why we are donating all the profits made from the sale of our very first piece of merch, the wonderful IACTM Podcast Mug, to Weston Favell Food Bank. The mug costs £14.99, including delivery and can be purchased at cobblerstome.com/shop right now!

You can also support the Weston Favell Food Bank by donating food items such as tinned fruit and veg at several drop off points throughout Northampton, including Tesco Mereway and Cafe TRACK.

We’d love to raise as much money as possible to help the Weston Favell Food Bank this year and you can help us by purchasing the IACTM Podcast Mug.

Lye Town Ladies 1-2 Northampton Town Women

The Cobblers women's team travelled west to Lye for their Vitality Women's FA Cup 2nd round tie on Sunday and after going a goal down early in the 2nd half, came back to win the game with a last minute penalty from Cesca Partridge.

Our very own Abbie Brewin provides a match report and Charles asks whether the lack of competition the team face in their league leaves our ladies at a disadvantage.

NTFC News

Elsewhere, the Under 18s suffer defeat in the FA Youth Cup at Sixfields and the club announce their plans for the events to celebrate our 125th anniversary that we're proud to have played a part in making happen.

Postbag

We asked for your emails and questions and yet again, you did not disappoint. We're answering questions on the East Stand kitchens, Northampton's bid to become a city, the English language and pies.

Charles and Chessie clash after a question from Valerie about Everton fans leaving their game after just 20 minutes. Have an opinion, let us know on Twitter, @cobblerstome or email us: [email protected]
