Today, we interview renowned mental health psychologist, Dr. Edwina Bell about the unique mental health needs of black women, how we can identify when we need mental health professional services and some ideas that you can implement at home to reduce stress and anxiety. Dr. Bell is a Licensed Psychologist. She received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, completed her internship at the University of Miami Counseling Center, and post-doctoral residency at the Dependency Court Intervention Program for Family Violence in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Dr. Bell is the CEO/President of Bell Psychological Services, Inc. Dr. Bell has presented to various organizations on topics including Stress Management and Depression in the Black Community, Living a Life of Mental Fitness, Psychosocial Effects of Chronic Disease, Domestic Violence, and African-American Women and Depression. Dr. Bell has a thriving private practice in Plantation, Florida.
