The concept we call Yes And has been at the heart of improv and at the heart of how improv is taught for decades. There are books about it, and the phrase is synonymous with improv. The basic idea is that you say yes to what your partner is offering and then add to it. More recently, Yes And has been questioned. Some improv schools don't teach it anymore. Has Yes And as a theory run its course? Or it is still relevant to how we teach and perform improv?
