My Old Man Said - An Aston Villa Podcast

What's Samatta Deeney? Villa Grab Season-Defining Win

Listen on

Episode notes

It was a dramatic and potentially season-defining night at Villa Park as Watford came seeking to do the double over their relegation rivals. A six-point swing to the Hornets would have seen Villa growing roots in the relegation zone, but alas after an injury-time 2-1 win, they escaped the drop zone.

In a bonus MOMS show, David and Chris look back at a Villa Park night that travelled a full spectrum of emotion. Along the way, we contemplate the enigmas that are Douglas Luis, Danny Drinkwater and the Villa back three. We also look at the incoming striker Mbwana Samatta.

This show is dedicated to the Villa Park ball boys - good job lads!
