Episode notes

Episode #32 of the Running Industry Podcast rounds-up the Weekly News from the running world and the wider running industry.

In this week's news, 21 runners tragically lose their lives at the Yellow River Stone Forest 100k race in north-western China and on Sunday news was released of the death of Dr. Ron Hill MBE.

The men’s world 50k record is broken as Ethiopia's Ketema Negasa wins the Nedbank Runified race in South Africa, parkrun’s expected resumption on June the 5th has been delayed and Wales only has "half a plan" for resuming marathons and triathlons, says Tough Runner UK.

The New York City Marathon is returning in November, with a field of 33,000 runners and momentum is building for the first ever Run Show USA event, scheduled Jan. 29-30, 2022.  Peloton is planning a new $400million factory in Ohio, USA, to produce its treadmills and Trail Running magazine asks, do you really need a branded sports drink for running, as an article on their website says home-made options can be just as good!
