The true crime case this week is the murder of a nine year-old boy called Christopher Laverack in Hull in March 1984. The book is Injured Parties by Monica Weller, about the unsolved murder of Dr Helen Davidson from Amersham in 1966. This episode started life in my Citizen Detective podcast which I have now incorporated here. Each season we will alternate between crime and spies, and sometimes we might mix the two. But the theme is mystery and intrigue in all its forms. I am open to new ideas for titles: how does "Mystery & Intrigue" sound?!
