Taking Hugh for Granted

The Undoing – The Finale and Series Review

Listen on

Episode notes

As promised, Oscar and Diggory convene to discuss the much anticipated finale of HBO's The Undoing and to compare notes on the series as a whole. In the final episode of the six-part miniseries, Hugh Grant fans were treated to a type of Hugh not seen before on screen – a manic, unhinged psychopath who appears crazed and dangerous.

The finale begins with the unsolved mystery of the murder weapon, which is somehow in the possession of Jonathan Fraser's (Hugh Grant) son, Henry (Noah Jupe). The trial into the murder of Elena Alves continues and when Jonathan's wife Grace (Nicole Kidman) says she'll testify in support of her husband things begin to unravel. Will Jonathan Fraser be found guilty of murder or will we finally find out that it was actually someone else all along?
