Episode notes

"Parenting is so much more emotional than it used to be"

Dr Siggie Cohen is Kate's guest on The Ambitious Mum podcast this week. California-based Dr Siggie is a child and parent specialist and an expert in aiding families to work through their issues as a wider family unit.

She explains to Kate how we can create space between what we want for our children, while also allowing the flow of life to happen. Siggie teaches parents to cope and practice more resilience so that they feel they don't have to shield and protect the children from all of life's unavoidable situations.

The pair also discuss parenting guilt, how to re-focus the way we view our working time and parenting time so that we can feel more positive and less emotional about the balance, as well as enjoying the experience of being a parent even more.
