Episode notes

Last week’s episode couldn’t get out in time but it’s finally here! For episode 126, the group rep +44 with Kie and Yaf in LDN, and +31 with Steven and Kwarmz in Amsterdam. After a humorous breakdown about the mandem’s favourite sweets and chocolates during their childhood (4:19), the group re-visit WMYS (What Made You Smile) and share summaries of the week that passed. (10:04)

The main topic of convo was an honest and divisive one, based on crime, music and freedom of expression. Kwame brought up the Young Thug case, where the Atlanta rapper’s song lyrics are being read out in court as proof of the numerous crimes he and 27 associates have been accused of (22:06). The group discuss a long history of lawmakers reviewing rap bars and how it relates to the bar exam.  Before blowing the final whistle on this episode, the OOH team discuss the concept of ‘greed vs principles’, in lieu of the recent drama surrounding the Canadian football team, who cancelled friendlies over a dispute about bonuses with the Canadian Football Federation (48:31).
