London-bound Air India plane crash: What happened?

An Air India flight bound for Gatwick Airport crashed not long after takeoff on Thursday, with more than 50 British nationals on board.
Local police say there appeared to be no survivors as shocking footage emerged of the plane hitting the ground and bursting into flames in Ahmedabad, Gujarat state.
