One of the absolute best for a foreign policy rundown. Realistic. Objective. Invaluable.

You may be in NYC, Richard, but you totally missed the mark on the push back from the citizenry. For two weeks in cities all over the country there have been countless protests (albeit local but boisterous). Lawsuits and injunctions. Dems in office are much more vocal and out there. We’re coming out of shock and treating this coup for what it is. Lawless incompetence from a madman. I acknowledge we have a huge societal problem but I guarantee more than half the population is not keen losing our democracy.

Two jaded reporters who’ve let cynicism rot the brain to a point where the evil and heinous acts of Trump “have a point” because he needs to “shake things up” to right the world - I’ve seen things in parts of the world too but I didn’t let a dangerous cocktail of cynicism and ignorance take over. Just because some things need to be fixed, doesn’t mean Trump needs to blow it up and take control of the world - When you were traveling the world did you really see and listen or were you just writing your story?

Please let her finish a thought without talking over her. Richard, you can do better.

Loved listening to Rachel’s thoughts on tr*mp’s second presidency. Richard was right on with his questions but his co-host Yalda took up much of the conversation that he hardly spoke. Yalda seemed to have a Pollyanna view on things in the US, often laughing off some of Rachel’s concerns. May try show again because I respect Richard but not sure I have it in me to listen to Yalda again.

I have always appreciated Richard Engel's work but had never heard of Yalda Hakim until today's episode w/ Rachel Maddow on the American elections and Donald Trump. I couldn't believe the ineptitude of Talia Hakim. She was like a little school girl in her understanding of what the current US election means for our country. Her ridiculous statements about it had me yelling out loud and thinking who is this woman in the pocket of? Will never listen again. 😬

Yalda sounds like a right-wing sympathizer and totally delulu about the 2nd Trump presidency.
