I love your podcast, but using American Giant as the example that the entire garment industry can shift production to the US is misinformed. The US currently does not have the capabilities to manufacture and mill many different types of fabrics, sewing and finishing techniques. American Giant focuses on cotton rich and basic styles that do not have special finishes. It comes down to machinery and skill set in this country. The training of labor , and cost to buy very expensive equipment will put brands out of business and into the business of creating trade schools which small apparel businesses are not able to support. Please interview a range of brands to understand why Made in the USA is truly not possible for the next 10 years minimum. We don’t all want to go back to the Gap basics of the 80’s as our only choice for apparel which is what American Giant has done.

This relatively little-known gem of a podcast provides a unique insight to major news items that often simply can’t be found elsewhere (and I mean from other, major providers like Beck and O’Reilly, both of whom I trust and follow). Brian’s CIA background and acumen make for a focused presentation that punches well above its weight class. Coming from a viewpoint of national security and intelligence, it’s an indispensable source for news and analysis. Highly recommended.
