Episode notes

During the first Saturday in February, the quiet town of Arbuckle becomes a center of excitement and pride as it hosts the largest student-run agricultural field day in the state of California. For the last 22-years, an impressive group of Arbuckle FFA members research, compile, and host the Career Development Experience to over 1,700 FFA members. This incredible event provides FFA members with experience in small engines, horticulture, ag business, and a dozen other activities. Today, we have Cindy Rohde, Arbuckle FFA Advisor; Alli Lux, the Arbuckle FFA Field Day Chairperson, and Kyle Howell, the contest chairperson for the Small Engines Competition. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules, and on a school night to share this amazing activity.

For over 55-years, the Colusa Farm Show has showcased the latest farming equipment and techniques while providing a one-stop shopping opportunity for rural farmers. Held February 4, 5, and 6th, at the Colusa Fairgrounds, we have Joe Steidlmayer, the Colusa Farm Show Committee Chairperson, and Laura Ford, the Colusa Fairgrounds CEO here today to discuss the events, and happenings of this year’s show.
