Season 2, Episode 11 - KS1 Online Learning - How Does That Work?

On this episode, you'll hear from Helen, a Primary Teacher at UK Virtual School.

Helen talks to Syd about her experiences in teaching in a physical school compared to an online school and discusses some reasons why she prefers teaching online and how Key Stage 1 children could benefit from online schooling.

Helen believes there are a few ways that she keeps the children in her classes effectively learning:

➡ Active learning - if a child isn't paying attention they won't be learning as efficiently, keeping them engaged is key.

➡ Teachers can actively keep an eye on children and notice whether or not they're starting to lose concentration.

➡ There are breaks in learning to ensure that younger children are having a break away from constantly using their brains.
