Episode notes

Millions of people in China and around the world are under quarantine right now, as countries try to stop the spread of the new coronavirus. Hundreds of them are at military bases under temporary quarantine in the U.S. and Canada, while many others are voluntarily quarantining themselves. Today, we’re talking to two people about what it’s like to live under quarantine. Matthew Smith, who’s stuck on a cruise ship in Japan, and Myriam Larouche, a Canadian woman who was living under lockdown in Wuhan, the epicentre of the outbreak. She’s now under quarantine at a military base in Trenton, Ontario.
