Episode notes

“One bit of advice I could give to anyone is don't be a one-trick pony.”

Manchester’s treasure, comedian, actor, voice-over artist, musician and magician, John Thomson returns to close Season Two after opening Season One to give his own unique perspective of a year of not being a one-trick pony in a year when we all learned to adapt. Regaling Lisa and her mum, Carol, this week’s special guest - and a secret JT super fan -  with stories from filming The Masked Singer, “This Time” with Alan Partridge’s, Midsummer Murders and Bargain Loving Brits, John brings hilarity, heart and a lot of joy.

Discover alongside Lisa Morton how John celebrates having multiple skills to his metaphorical bow and how he has used his infectious positivity to approach the uncertainty of the last year.

Your host, Lisa Morton, started PR company Roland Dransfield in 1996, one month after the fateful IRA bomb that tore apart the city centre. From that point, the business, and its team members, have been involved in helping to support the creation of Modern Manchester – across regeneration, business, charity, leisure and hospitality, sport and culture.

To celebrate the 25 years that Roland Dransfield has spent creating these bonds, Lisa is gathering together some of her Greater Mancunian ‘family’ and will be exploring how they have created their own purposeful relationships with the best place in the world.
