Welcome to a new week, all of you fantastic podcast listeners! It's your host Adam back again with another important topic to discuss with you. You should be aware that we do not shy away from controversial subjects; in fact, controversy invites our curiosity.

The topic I want to bring to this edition is the connection between Gnosticism and the transgender movement. To understand this connection, you need a refresher on who the Gnostics were, what they were teaching, and why. The title of this heretical group comes from the Greek word gnosis, meaning knowledge. We have modern parallel terms like prognosis or diagnosis, having to do with knowledge revealed. The Gnostics took this a step further, claiming that they had a "special knowledge" of Christian doctrine in the first century. This special knowledge was linked to Platonism, whose proponents reject the idea of the physical body as an essential part of who you are. The body, and all physical matter, was viewed as "less important" than abstract or non-physical entities. Matter doesn't matter.

These two ancient ideas, secret knowledge, and the loss of respect for the physical body, have significant modern expressions. Today's gnostics might say something like, "I am living MY TRUTH." Or, "No one else can tell me what's right for me." No matter what extrinsic evidence may bombard them, their "inner knowledge" convinces them that they are right and all others are wrong. To show you how Platonism has infected the trans movement, take a listen to the words taken directly from this children's storybook on the topic:

It Feels Good To Be Yourself. This is Ruthie. She's a transgender girl. That means when she was born, everyone thought she was a boy. Until she grew a little older–old enough to tell everyone that she's actually a girl. There are so many different ways to be a boy or a girl–too many to fit in a book! But not everyone feels like either a boy or a girl.

In other words, it doesn't matter what gender I was assigned at birth; it doesn't matter if I have male parts or female parts; it doesn't matter if I have a boy's body or a girl's body. What I think about myself is more important. I might be in the wrong body and may need to chemically castrate or surgically mutilate this filthy body so that it aligns with who I think I am. These are the thoughts and actions of a Neo-Gnostic. These are old ideas wrapped up in popular culture and fully supported by the woke medical industry. They are more than happy to deny the mental health issues at work under the service to capitalize on the $1.6 Billion that trans people will spend each year on gender reassignment surgeries.

You might hear this and think, this can't be a serious issue, can it? It's most likely because you are over the age of 35.

  • This article, entitled "Less Than 50% of Teens Identify as Straight," includes these alarming statistics.
  • 48% of 13-20-year-olds identify as "exclusively heterosexual," compared to 65 percent of millennials aged 21 to 34.
  • Over a third of Generation Z strongly agreed that gender did not define a person as much as it used to—only 28 percent of millennials felt similarly.
  • Over half, 56 percent of Gen Z said that they knew someone who went by gender-neutral pronouns such as "they," "them," or "ze," compared to 43 percent of people 28 to 34.
  • Whereas 54 percent of millennials always bought clothes designed for their gender, that number drops to 44 percent when it comes to teens.
  • They also overwhelmingly support gender-neutral bathrooms, with 70 percent in favor versus 57 percent of millennials.

There is a massive cultural tectonic shift occurring right now in our children and grandchildren. I dare you to ask your local 15-year-old if they know anyone who came out as trans. The answer may shock you. The chances are that they have already been exposed to this radical ideology that is anti-science, anti-common sense, anti-religion, and an-God.

Thankfully, this ancient problem has an ancient solution. The apostle Jude addressed these same specific issues in his epistle in the New Testament:

Jude 4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. ... 8 Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries. ... 18 how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. 19 These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.

Jude's forceful commandments to the church regarding the Gnostic heresy certainly ring true towards today's Neo-Gnostics as well, the transgender community.

Even though Gnosticism is nothing new, what is new is the ability to surgically and chemically mutilate one's body to match which gender one believes themself to be, often in teenagers, without parental consent.

DON'T CARE

How many surgeries are necessary. No medical procedure can entirely remove the stamp of your maker.

CARE

The truth is that, according to Christian orthodoxy, Jesus came to save both body AND soul. Our physical bodies share in the redemptive plan of salvation and must be treated with the utmost respect. Just as God didn't leave the body of Jesus in the tomb, the resurrection gives us hope of a future, including physically redeemed bodies in the New Heaven and Earth.

When Christians are persecuted for standing up for truth, let us remember that the world isn't mad at us.. it is furious at the God that we represent. Most transgender people have experienced grievous trauma at the hands of a trusted friend or mentor. And their anger has been directed towards the God who made the rules. They need prayer, not further abuse. They need ministry, not medicine. They need compassion, not ostracization. Let us be the hands and feet of Jesus, showing His redemptive purposes to a lost and confused generation.
