The MirYam Institute proudly launches a new biweekly podcast on Israeli defense and diplomatic affairs – the Israel Defense and Diplomacy Forum (IDDF) – with two of the foremost experts in this area, Prof. Chuck Freilich, former Israeli deputy national security advisor, and Danny Ayalon, former Deputy Foreign Minister and ambassador to Washington.
Chuck comes from the center-left and Danny from the center-right.
In this first episode, they discuss the ramifications of the war in Ukraine for Israel and whether Israel’s response has been deficient, as alleged by critics, or actually appropriate.
Things heat up as they begin discussing the Iranian nuclear issue, including the need to understand Iran’s strategic reasons for seeking a nuclear weapon and the pros and cons of a new deal.
