Episode notes

This is the podcast where we explore why and how Black British lives matter – What it means to be Black and British, our culture, our joy and our pain.

This week we discuss why Black British Fashion Matters with Afua Hirsch, Ozwald Boateng and Professor Carol Tulloch. What fashion, clothes and style say about Black British culture and identity.

Afua Hirsch is an award winning author and journalist, TV presenter, one of Britain’s thought leaders and most importantly for this episode, a partner with SIKA Fashion.

Ozwald Boateng is one of the most recognizable names in British fashion known for his trademark twist on classic tailoring and bespoke styles.

Professor Carol Tulloch, a writer, leading academic, and curator with a specialism in dress and black identities.

Between them they make up a Black British Fashion Matters dream team and a very exciting podcast.
