Episode notes

Charles Falconer is a Labour peer and barrister who served as Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice under Prime Minister Tony Blair from 2003 to 2007. Having been a close personal friend of Blair’s when both were barristers in London, Charles was to become a key figure in the Labour Party’s reforms to the justice system, famously abolishing the position of Lord Chancellor ending 1,400 years of tradition.
