In this episode of All Things Tudor, Lacy Baugher Miles, entertainment editor of Paste Magazine returns to the show to examine the latest twists and turns, plots and schemes of Catherine de Medici and the French Court following the horrendous jousting accident of King Henri II. 

The Serpent Queen is a drama television series based on the history of the life of Catherine de' Medici, the 16th century Queen of France and mother-in-law of Mary Queen of Scots - hence its invollvement with Tudor history. Catherine is portrayedd by actress Samantha Morton. 

The series was created by Justin Haythe and is based on the book Catherine de Medici: Renaissance Queen of France by Leonie Frieda.
