And even though they weren’t able to achieve promotion to the Premier League together, Simon reveals why the two-and-a-half years he worked with Neil were his most enjoyable and meaningful times in football. Neil explains how their relationship was anything but a “marriage made in hell”, as was predicted by the press at the time.
