Episode notes

On this episode of Éirevision, we are delighted to be joined by the fabulous Niamh Kavanagh! Niamh joins Conor and Lou to chat about how the Eurovision Song Contest changed her life after winning the contest in 1993 with 'In Your Eyes'. Niamh shares her earliest memories of Eurovision with us and her favourite moments from Millstreet. Niamh returned to the Eurovision stage in 2010 with 'It's For You' and she discusses why she decided to give Eurovision another go. Of course, we had to ask Niamh her opinions on the current state of Ireland in Eurovision and what she thinks we should do to bring back our success. Niamh is regularly appears on TG4's Junior Eurovision Éire each year as a judge. Despite having little Irish, Niamh shares how she undertook the task of learning a few 'cúpla focal' for the show. Also, there might even be a round of 'Ceol an Ghrá' too!
