Episode notes

On this episode of Éirevision, Conor and Lou react to the latest entries as five more songs were revealed. Over the weekend, five countries selected their representatives for Eurovision 2024: Germany, Moldova, Estonia, Denmark, and Lithuania.

On Friday, Germany's Das deutsche Finale 2024 saw nine songs battle it out for the chance to represent Germany at Eurovision. Ultimately, the jury and televise agreed that Isaak should head to Malmö with his song, "Always on the Run". Will Lou be as harsh on Germany like last year, or do they have chance of finishing in the top?

Super Saturday kicked off with Moldova's Etapa națională 2024 with eleven songs in the running. Natalia Barbu finished at the top with her song, "In The Middle". She is the first returning artist this year to successfully win their national final! Eesti Laul 2024 concluded with 5miinust and Puuluup earning the golden ticket to Malmö with their song, "(Nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi". Yes, that is the title of the song!

Denmark picked their entry for Eurovision 2024 through their usual national-final, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. Eight artists were in the running which included Denmark's 2014 representative, Basim! However, Saba won the super-final with her song - "Sand". Super Saturday concluded with Lithuania choosing their representative through Eurovizija.LT . Fan favourite Silvester Belt won their super-final, beating 2020/21 representatives The Roop with his song "Luktelk".
