That was the question exercising our Newcastle United team as they sat down to sift through the wreckage of the home defeat against Watford – and looked ahead to a potentially pivotal Capital One Cup game against Sheffield Wednesday.

Newcastle United Editor Mark Douglas, writer Chris Waugh and Stuart Rayner – who made his seasonal debut on the podcast – talked about Fabricio Coloccini, whether the players have got away with it for too long and the big talking point of the weekend: the dressing room chemistry.

It threw up some interesting conclusions, along with Stuart making a very fine point about Newcastle’s supposed summer of change.
