Everything is Black and White - a Newcastle United podcast
Chronicled: The History of NUFC | Episode 20: 1976-1982: Europe, turmoil and four managers
Episode notes
In a change of tact, Matt and Paul are joined by a football historian whose allegiances are more red and white than black and white. Rob Mason is Paul's equivalent at Sunderland AFC and joins the series to discuss a difficult period at St. James' Park where Newcastle suffered another relegation and went through four managers in search of the formula to get back into the top flight.
There were a number of intense Tyne Wear derbies during this period and the trio take the opportunity to discuss the men who have represented both clubs, including Alan Kennedy and Bob Stokoe.
Theme music by Tom Ramsey
