Episode notes

Chris Braaten of the I Like To Like Things podcast is this week's guest; him & Mike discuss positivity, the best kind of “modern man”, food, family and other positivity-orientated topics!

In part 1 of their chat, they discuss how Chris became a podcaster, the varieties of American & English culture, and Chris & Mike’s mutual love of different foods (like Mexican & Indian). Chris then recalls a story on how he learned to cook due to his dog, before talking about how fatherhood and being a husband changed him - this part ends with Mike & Chris talking about what it is to truly “be a man”.

Part 2 will be out next week (all Patreons already have access and you can too for only £1 a month) where Mike & Chris’s conversation on being a “modern man” continues by discussing vulnerability & crying, admitting when you’re wrong, trying to ensure your children are “better” than you, the different approaches to parenting from older generations, how empathy is key, how small positive actions can greatly impact someone’s life and their conversation ends with Chris talking about his weight loss journey and the importance of pockets so stay tuned or head over to http://Patreon.com/GenuineChitChat for the next bout of positivity!
