Today Jay Reum and Todd Kramer are talking with Helena Bunker. Fifteen years ago Helena went out the fringe to start a festival and she has yet to return! She has been a pivotal partner in creating, developing and organizing the Stockholm (that’s in Sweden folks) Fringe Festival and has now begun to work on more all over the Nordic and Baltic regions with her partner Adam Potyrkus.

Maybe you’d like to go out to the fringe sometime? Perhaps you are even considering creating your own festival out there but wonder what it takes?

Well, Helena has plenty of experience starting a fringe festival from scratch in a place where nobody knows what that even means and without a lot of support from the "central art scene."

Helena was a lot of fun to talk to and it was great to hear her insight into the highs and lows of a life on the fringe.
