The first Oldham Green Summit was held on Friday 8th March at the Events Centre, attracting many local businesses to discuss the green agenda in our area. Following an incitful opening by the Oldham Youth Council, Cllr Abdul Jabbar, Deputy Leader of Oldham Council outlined the bold and ambitious plans to make Oldham Net Zero by 2026.

A panel of speakers looked at decarbonisation from a variety of angles and Ian Wolstenholme caught up with some of the contributors at the event.
