We’re so excited for you to hear our Scars and Lemonade conversation with transformational speaker, author, consultant, survivor, and mother Fatima C. Oliver. This woman has truly led at least 9 lives! We talk with Fatima about her childhood, her parenting, mental health, and her career. Not to put too fine of a point on it but her journey has been full of scars and lemonade and we are so grateful that she chose to share her story with us. We talk about shame around mental health, the importance of expressing a spectrum of emotions and gifting yourself with the permission to feel whatever it is that you feel. We also discuss parenting kids using what we liked about how we were raised and what we want to do differently. Fatima shares how she reconciles her past with her present and who she wants to be in her future. She also shares the process that she uses in her own life to recognize, examine, and release hurt. Come for the conversation and insight into Fatima’s resilience and optimism, stay for the laughter and games!

Please share this episode with your friends, your family, your local librarians, your mail carrier, everyone you meet! While you’re sharing, please feel free to get in touch to let us know what resilience and optimism look like for you in your day-to-day life.
