Episode notes

Aquarius season is here and in this episode of Star Gays, film critic Caden Mark Gardener joins host Elly Higgins to talk about filmmaker Kenneth Anger. Anger's 1947 film Fireworks is thought to be the first narrative gay film in the United States. Anger made almost 40 short films, exploring themes of desire, homoeroticism, and the occult. He was a follower of Aleister Crowley, an outsider in Hollywood, and he was born on an Aquarius New Moon. ---------------------------------------------------------- You can preorder Caden's book here!
