Listen on

Episode notes

Harry Young is co-founder of Airhead, an award-winning company providing specially designed masks for cyclists to protect from pesky air pollution! Backed by smart science and fuelled by community spirit, this patent-pending mask is designed and made here in the UK.

Co-founded alongside university friends, Alex Smith and Elliot Denvir , who Harry met whilst studying at the University of Bath back in 2011. Created in collaboration with Brunel University and a member of the NatWest Accelerator Programme, this unique mask is building a community of active people and encouraging them to exercise with safety and comfort taken care of.

In April 2020, Airhead set out to raise £30,000 through crowdfunding, to help bring the Airhead mask to life. They hit their target in just 4 hours and finished the campaign in the top 0.45% of all time most funded Kickstarter projects.
