The markets are looking more upbeat, with analysts suggesting the rates max out at 5.5 - 5.75%. The "W-shaped" model of economic activity could predict a 6–9-month period before a breath of fresh air. Nationwide has released their HPI data showing that the property market has contracted slightly month on month for July 2023 by 0.2%, which has edged the annual house price growth to 3.8%.
