The Dad Mindset Show

Using the metaphor of journey and adventure to connect with your kids

Listen on

Episode notes

This episode we have Psychologist, Dr Jason Frishman, back on the show to expand on the work he does with narrative therapy and to give you more ideas for connecting with your kids.

Jason and I get into the weeds with there being way more in common with other dads than we might think.

I also love the challenge that he put to me about the road less travelled that I know to be more fulfilling long-term, but scary and uncertain in the short-term, versus the easy road that is well-trod but leads to long-term misery and danger.

So, which road will you take?

A quote that came to mind while editing this—but can’t for the life of me attribute it—is:

The best things in life are usually at the exit ramp of your comfort zone

I hope you enjoy this chat with Dr Jason Frishman.

Big hug

Rich
