Advice From Women Who Have Left A Violent Partner

Listen on

Episode notes

We can’t ignore the number of domestic violence related crimes carried out across Australia this year.

For a lot of women, domestic violence has left them with nothing; no home, no financial stability, and unfortunately in a growing number of cases, no life.

Leaving a domestic violence situation can be terrifying, overwhelming and often there are so many moving parts, it can be hard to know where to start.

In today’s episode we’ve collated a list of practical things you need to remember before what can be one of the most dangerous, important moments of your life.

If you or anyone you know needs to speak with an expert, please contact 1800 RESPECT (1800 737 732) — the National Sexual Assault, Domestic and Family Violence Counselling Service. If you are in immediate danger, call 000.
