He is the Chief Clinician at Cancer Research UK and Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Southampton, and his research has led the application of diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma, a cancer that affects the body’s disease-fighting white blood cells, and has been responsible for designing pivotal clinical trials in this field.
