The Trial of Santa Claus

Day 3: Christmas cracker jokes

Listen on

Episode notes

Welcome back to The Trial of Santa Claus, the podcast from Laudable that puts Christmas on trial.

Whilst it may not be a laughing matter for Saint Nick, today's court proceedings will look at the evidence for and against Christmas cracker jokes.

The prosecution led by Kelly Crichton pulls apart the so-called "jokes", arguing that the very last thing crackers will do is crack you up.

And the defence, led by Daniel J. McLaughlin, will argue that we all need a laugh at Christmas - and the rubbish cracker jokes are actually meant to be bad, saying it's all part of the fun.

Members of the jury - that's you! - will be asked whether Papa Noel should continue to crack dad jokes from his crackers - or if Father Christmas should lose custody of the kids. You can vote on our Twitter page @LaudablePods. www.twitter.com/LaudablePods
