The Trial of Santa Claus

Day 4: Christmas shopping

Listen on

Episode notes

The Trial of Santa Claus has reached its fourth day, and the fate of Christmas is in the hands of our members of the jury. Should Santa Claus get used to porridge over mince pies? You decide!

Christmas shopping is under scrutiny from our prosecution and defence. Dan McLaughlin, our resident festive fanatic, will present the evidence in favour of Christmas shopping, arguing that it provides a welcome boost to our struggling businesses.

Meanwhile, our prosecution, led by Kelly Crichton, believes that wrapping should take the rap and Santa should be shopped due to the stress of Christmas shopping.

After hearing the evidence, we are inviting you - the members of the jury - to have your say about today's court proceedings. Visit our Twitter page @LaudablePods to vote on whether you agree with the prosecution or the defence.

And come back tomorrow for another day in our Christmas court, as Santa's salvation or incarceration edges nearer.

The Trial of Santa Claus is a Laudable production, presented and produced by Kelly Crichton, Dan McLaughlin, and Matt Millard. The podcast was created by Dan McLaughlin.
