#9: The Power of Speaking with Hassan Wadi – Focusing on your talents for success
Welcome to the UK Educators Community Podcast, with your host, Syd, who's an award winning science communicator, serial entrepreneur and educational consultant.
On this episode, Syd shines the spotlight on Hassan Wadi.
Hassan discovered his talent of public-speaking after attending a course to improve his confidence for work presentations. The course changed his life . Hassan started the Youth Speaking Academy where he now teaches children to become leaders and speakers of the future.
Hassan has a lot of advice to share, including:
- Test things out to find your talent. If Michael Jordan had only ever played football, he wouldn't have discovered his talents for Basketball!
- Focus on your strengths, rather than taking time to build upon your weaknesses, and take time to perfect them.
- Always utilise your connections to help yourself grow, but ensure you're giving back and the other party is benefitting from the collaboration as well.
- When you've identified your talents, think about how you're going to use them to help others.
