Episode notes

Katy Cottam is a Mental Health First Aider and the CEO of Luna Daily, a company that is particular about creating self-care products for all skin, even the most intimate. After Katy’s experience of having to use feminine hygiene products that rarely balance the micro biomes of her body, she founded Luna Daily with a mission of creating one that does and normalising conversations about womanhood. Ever since, she has been committed to changing the future of female health through her products.

In today’s episode, we discuss the importance of challenging the norm and creating new as Katy shared her experience of challenging an industry, and her mission to connect women to themselves as they break the taboo of having conversations about their bodies.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Katy’s journey of getting into the beauty and wellness space
  • The 3 pillars of shame around women and women’s bodies
  • How to break the stigma and normalise the conversations around women’s bodies

Every woman’s body is unique, a work of art that should be embraced in every form it comes in. We should not shy away from conversations that can inspire women to connect with each other and their bodies without a sense of shame. When we’re as inclusive as possible, we are taking a huge step towards breaking the taboo, challenging the norm and creating the new.
