96: Four-tunes always hiding in annual relegation battle (kind of)

Episode notes

A West Ham player scored four goals in one game. West Ham scored four goals in one game. We know, it’s still a bit weird to even say those words out loud knowing they are fact and not just our fading and dying dreams.   Michail Antonio’s form since football’s return has been outstanding and was capped with his quartet of strikes in our 4-0 win over Norwich last weekend, which had initially left us all but sage. But then Bournemouth and Aston Villa won and we’re pretty much back where we started, with a huge home fixture over Watford this Friday night.   Many believe that just a point against the Hornets will be enough thanks to our superior goal difference over the clubs in and around us, but three points will surely ensure we’re a Premier League team next season.    And that’s naturally the main topic of conversation on this week’s show, with James, Will and Tom looking back on the Norwich win, ahead to the massive Watford clash and also discussing all the little details in between; Haller’s future, Kouyate’s regret at turning down Spurs, Soucek and Bowen’s impact, fans returning to stadiums and much, much more.   The boys were also joined by Andy from the Stairway to 7th Watford Podcast, who was just as nervous as everyone else on the show ahead of Friday, and then the famous Mystery Players Quiz master Reece Bayliss. Reece joined the lads to talk about his new West Ham Legends business and to take part in the quiz from the other side of the ramp for the first-ever time.    It’s an action-packed show as always and as always, well worth a listen to get yourself warmed up for the final three fixtures of what has been a woeful season at West Ham.    Please like, rate, subscribe if you like what we do and tell your friends.
