Episode notes

..In 2014 US Navy F/A-18E Super Hornet pilot Kegan “SMurF” Gill survived the fastest ejection in the history of Naval Aviation at 695mph. His body was devastated impacting the sound barrier leaving him with a traumatic brain injury, broken arms, legs, shoulder, neck and a wide variety of nerve and blood vessel damage. His parachute disconnect malfunctioned and repeatedly drug him under the icy Atlantic Ocean while he awaited rescue. With lungs full of salt water and severe hypothermia he was rescued by a navy H-60 Seahawk helicopter. After over a dozen surgeries, two years of intense rehabilitation and overcoming prescription drug addiction he returned to flying F/A-18E Super Hornets and then had some more dramatic twists to his story. He is now on a continued path to healing via holistic means including the use of psychedelic therapy while he trains and competes in ultra endurance events.
