The Careers for Net Zero Podcast
2: Engineer – “every day I am solving problems”
Episode notes
The Careers for Net Zero Podcast’s second episode features Engineer champion, Caitlin Nicholas.
When Caitlin was in school she wanted to be a doctor of medicine, but soon realised that as an engineer, she could work to regenerate the biosphere. As a ‘doctor of the planet’ Caitlin supports the uptake of renewable energy in Queensland, and Germany, where she is currently seconded from Energy Queensland to E.ON.
Caitlin references a professional development program that helped her progress as a power engineer working in the clean economy:
- The Australian Power Institute’s POWERful Women Leadership Program, with further information found here: https://www.api.edu.au/pwlp
